In 2001 I started playing
around with the GNU/Linux operating system. I could
run it on just about any box I patched together from new and/or
salvage components and I could configure it to run exactly the way
I wanted it to run, not how someone else thought I should run
it.
For most of this time my
distribution of choice is Slackware, the oldest extant
commercial distribution of the GNU/Linux operating system. I've
found little reason to go distro hoping. The Slackware way of doing
things suits me fine and I venture no further than keeping a
bootable Slax
CD or USB stick around and more recently I have installed Salix on an Acer
Aspire One 751h netbook (see below).
From time to time I put
something here which I hope others might find usefull although some
older stuff has been put out to pasture.
